DEI Strategic Plan
In consultation with the City's Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Committee, the City of Hendersonville embarked on the process to develop a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategic Plan. After advertising for consultant proposals and an evaluation by internal and external stakeholders, Ahkirah Legal and Diversity Consultants was selected to develop the plan. Community focus groups, listening sessions, and sessions with City staff were used to develop the plan. The document provides recommendations to build community trust in Hendersonville's local government, ensure all community members and staff members are treated with respect and improve access to local government services.
