Welcome to The City of Hendersonville Finance Department!
The Finance Department provides financial management, oversight, monitoring and reporting functions for the City's complex financial resources and ensures that generally accepted accounting standards are followed and appropriate internal controls are in place to safeguard City assets.
As financial stewards of the City, the Finance Department is dedicated to managing the City's resources in a fiscally conservative manner while maintaining an exemplary level of customer service. The department is responsible for accounting and financial reporting, the administration and monitoring of City purchasing and paying financial obligations, accounts receivable, utility billing and collection, property tax billing and collection, grant accounting, fixed asset accounting and records, debt management activities, preparation and distribution of quarterly and annual financial statements, providing payroll services to more than 200 employees and maintaining a financial record keeping system according to generally accepted accounting principles to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as, City ordinances and policies.
