The City of Hendersonville’s free Document Shred Event returns on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 9:00–10:30 a.m. at Patton Park (114 E. Clairmont Drive). City residents can bring up to two boxes (or 50 lbs.) of paper documents to be securely shredded.

The Hendersonville Police Department will also host a Drug Take Back to safely dispose of expired or unused medications. No business shredding, needles, or inhalers accepted.

Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations for Interfaith Assistance Ministry (IAM). Event is rain or shine and will end early if the shred truck fills up.
