Friday, April 25, 2025
The Hendersonville Tree Board invites the community to an Arbor Day celebration and tree planting on Friday, April 25 at noon. The event will take place at Hendersonville Elementary School, located at 1039 Randall Circle.
The celebration will include Hendersonville Mayor Barbara Volk, members of the North Carolina Forest Service, Four Seasons Rotary Club, Hendersonville Tree Board, elementary students, and anyone from the community who would like to attend.
During the event, a North Carolina Forest Service Ranger will present awards from the Arbor Day Foundation to the City of Hendersonville. Mayor Volk will also proclaim April 25 as Tree City Day in Hendersonville. Public Works staff will assist in planting trees to benefit the community for years to come.
The event is hosted by the Four Seasons Rotary Club, which has sponsored Arbor Day events in Hendersonville since 1991.
