Strategic Housing Plan Steering Committee Special Called Meeting-Field Trip

The City of Hendersonville Strategic Housing Plan Steering Committee and the City Council will hold a special called meeting on Monday, August 19, 2024. The Committee and Council will be taking a field trip to Chapel Hill to take a tour of a DFI Housing Site in Durham in the morning and then to meet with the Community Home Trust in Chapel Hill (“CHT”) to learn about their program followed by a tour of the Community Home Trust properties.  The meeting will convene at 11:00 am at 300 E. Main St., Durham, NC, the DFI Housing Site.  Following a tour of the DFI Housing site, the meeting will adjourn to reconvene at 2:00 p.m., at the UNC School of Government, 400 South Road, Chapel Hill, NC for the meeting with CHT.  This meeting will include a tour of CHT facilities.  Upon completion of the CHT facility tour, the meeting will adjourn.    We expect this trip to be informative for the Committee and Council and will provide everyone with possibilities to consider as options to provide housing for our community. 

This meeting is open to the public and should anyone wish to attend, they will need to arrange for their own transportation to the different meeting sites.
