Apple Festival and Labor Day Information 

  • Apple Festival Dates: Friday, August 30 - Monday, September 2

  • Location: Downtown Hendersonville, Main Street (closed between Caswell & 7th Ave)

  • Festival Start: 10:00 am on Friday, August 30; Opening ceremony at 2:15 pm at Historic Courthouse

  • Street Closures: Begin Thursday, August 29; No parking on Main Street after 2:00 pm (Caswell to Allen) and after 3:00 pm (Allen to 7th Ave)

  • Pets & Drones: Non-service animals discouraged; No drones allowed

  • Parking: Available in city lots and parking deck (5th Ave West); $10 daily flat-rate during the festival

  • Handicapped Parking: City Hall lot (160 6th Ave E) on Saturday-Monday

  • Private Parking: Check signage to avoid towing; Tour bus parking inquiries: 828-697-3050 by Wednesday, August 28

  • Hendersonville Farmers Market: Saturday, August 31, 8:00 am – 1:00 pm at Maple Street near Historic Train Depot

  • King Apple Parade: Monday, September 2, 2:30 pm; Main Street (5 points to Kanuga/Caswell); Additional closures for parade staging

  • Government Office Closure: Monday, September 2 for Labor Day; Garbage collection delayed by one week (resumes Monday, September 9); For water/sewer issues, call after hours at (828) 891-7779.
