Treat Street Carnival Hendersonville’s Spooktacular Halloween Street Party Returns to Main Street on October 31!
October 24, 2024 – Get ready for a frightfully fun night! Henderson County Parks and Recreation and the Friends of Downtown Hendersonville announce the return of the annual Treat Street Carnival, set to take place on Halloween evening, Thursday October 31 from 5 to 8pm on Main Street. This family-friendly event promises an evening filled with ghoulish delights, thrilling activities, and spine-chilling entertainment for all ages. Mars Candy has generously provided extra candy this year for the downtown merchants and contributors to distribute.
Trick or treating kicks off at 5 p.m. along Main Street from Allen Street to Sixth Avenue. In addition, there are many contributor booths from community organizations and businesses to fill up Main Street, and many of your favorite merchants will have candy and treats at their stores.
Treat Street will include a costume contest and Monster Mash dance party by Sound Extreme DJ. A variety of inflatables, kids’ activities and plenty of spooky fun will be provided by Kids Zone sponsor, Biltmore Church.
The costume contest and Monster Mash will be in the 100 block in front of the Historic Courthouse between First and Second avenues along Main Street.
Guests are encouraged to don their best costumes for a chance to win exciting prizes in our annual costume contest. Costume contest registration begins at 5 p.m. at the courthouse square and judging, which includes age categories for infants to age 3, 4 to 7, 8 to 11, 12 to 15, and 16-plus and family/group contestants will start at 6 p.m., with the pet category first to be judged.
This is a full street closure of Main Street from Sixth Avenue to Allen Street. No parking after 12pm for setup, towing is enforced. Please also note that 4th Avenue from Washington to Blythe Street will again be closed to motorists for Trick or Treating from 4pm – 9pm. N. Justice, N. Whitted, Valley, and Ehringhaus will remain open for travel. All motorists are encouraged to remain vigilant for children and families in the area.
