2/26/2025 - 3:06 PM - System Pressure Advisory Issued for Chimney Rock Road Area
There has been a pipe break affecting approximately 444 customers in the Chimney Rock Road area. Impacted customers have been notified using their billing account contact information. Crews are working to repair the pipe. This interruption of water or period of low pressure requires the issuance of a System Pressure Advisory.
What do customers in the impacted area need to do?
- Boil water before consumption by people and pets.
- Boil water vigorously for at least one minute and let it cool before use.
- Alternatively, customers may use bottled water until the advisory is lifted.
When water systems experience low pressure or loss of pressure, there is an increased risk of contamination. This does not mean that the water is contaminated, but that the possibility exists, and customers are notified. This risk of contamination extends to all appliances connected to the tap water system including water and ice dispensers.
Hendersonville Water and Sewer staff will be collecting samples in the affected area. Customers will be notified using their account contact information once sample results confirm the System Pressure Advisory can be lifted.
We appreciate your patience while our staff works to make the repair and ensures the water is safe to drink.
